Howard Lyman

Howard Lyman is known as the Mad Cowboy by many. He runs the madcowboy.com website. He is a former cattle ranch owner before he became a vegetarian and food safety activist. He appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show in 1996; he fueled the famous ‘Veggie Libel’ case brought by Texas ranchers. He is also the author of the book Mad Cowboy: Plain Truth from the Cattle Rancher who won’t Eat Meat. He is the served as the past president of the International Vegetarian Union and the EarthSave International. He also is once a former Director the Beyond Beef Campaign, Eating with Conscience Campaign and the Humane Society of the United States.  Currently, he is serving as the president of Voice of a Viable Future. As a popular Animal rights Activist, Lyman travels over 100,000 miles annually to deliver lectures and speeches to increase awareness.

Rachael Ray

Rachael Ray has a website that is dedicated to animals. The aim is to educate people to reduce the number of abused and abandoned animals that stay in the shelter. She is also a celebrity check and host of a talk show. She also shares informative posts on the right pet nutrition and her line of pet food company. Ray uses her website to create awareness about organizations that help to make a difference for animals. A percentage of the earnings from her pet food company are donated to their animal rights organizations which include: North Shore Animal League America which is the biggest no-kill and animal rescue organization in the world. Others include Bad Rap which is an organization that educates people on how to treat American Pit Bull Terriers as pets and American Vet Dogs which is an organization that provides service dogs to former military personnel.

Ric O’Barry

He is known for his fight for the safety and preservation of dolphins. Prior becoming an animal activist, he spent ten years capturing and training dolphins in the 1960’s for entertainment purposes. After discovering the inhumane treatment the dolphins are made to endure our natural habitat, he fought against the capturing of dolphins for over 40 years now. He started the Save the Dolphins project in 1970. He is currently the director of the Save Japan Dolphins campaign which aimed to end the killing of dolphins in Japan. His work so far is chronicled in ‘The Cove’ which is a documentary that has won an Oscar award. Ric continues with his mission to save and keep dolphins safe.

Jane Goodall

Goodall is considered as the most popular chimpanzee expert in the world. She is best known for her study of the family and social interactions of wild chimpanzees in Gombe Stream National Park location in Tanzania. This study took a whopping 45 years to complete. She is also the founder of the Jane Goodall Institute which is a nonprofit organization that helps to empower people committed to making a difference for living things. She has received various awards for her works including a Gold Medal of Conservation from the San Diego Zoological Society.
